Peter Huang

CEO

YONG founder, Peter Huang, walks the talk. He arrived in Australia in 1991 with only $100 and bought possibly more properties than any other real estate agent in Australia by the time his autobiography/property investment business book, The Australian Dream & $1 Properties, was launched in early 2009. The eventual completion value of his solely owned landbanking properties, once fully developed, will be worth around $900 million. Since 2003, YONG has been the highest ranking real estate company in Queensland amongst the state's top 400 private companies. During the global financial crisis, while managing one of the largest and most complex real estate companies in Australia, Peter still produced over $4M in fees personally in 2010, using around 20% of his available spare time in sales and business development.

Thank You Peter Huang

Firstly, I wish to thank Peter and yourself for an excellent 3 days of conference. Although I enjoyed last year, I think this year was better. The speakers this year were at the cutting edge of industry problems and had definite ideas and the experience to overcome the negativity in the market and our staff. Sue and I are very pleased to be associated with the Yong franchise under the leadership of Peter and yourself. I have decided to increase our franchise fee from 4.95% to 10% as suggested. (You and Peter will be the bad guys!) In my defense, I have been paying for all prospecting costs for several years on behalf of sales staff. The reasons are as outlined by Peter, if we as principals do not control the prospecting side of the business then it will not be done consistently, or at a professional standard. Although we have no statistics, since our letter box dropper quit some months ago our listing enquiries have reduced significantly. I am reluctant to engage "the big guys" because our junk mail will get lost and will be a waste of money. Just to pay for the drops has been costing approximately $15,000-00 pa plus paper and printing. So this is an opportunity to recoup some of that cost.
